The Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Akhnoor, was established by taking over the Chenab Public School in 1977 as Primary School. Now it has risen to Secondary and senior Secondary school with Science & Commerce streams, with excellent records in Sports, Teaching and C.C.A.
